ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the fourth time in 2020-21 a Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball player has been selected as South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Player of the Week. Redshirt junior Cameron Henry was tabbed SAC AstroTurf Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday morning following his outstanding performance in the Railsplitters’ 100-76 road win at Limestone last Wednesday night.
The conference honor is Henry’s first of his career as he joins redshirt senior guard Devin Whitfield (Jan. 4 and Dec. 21) and junior forward Jordan Guest (Dec. 14) as LMU players who have captured SAC weekly recognition already this season.
Registering his second double-double of 2020-21, Henry led a quartet of double-figure scorers with 25 points and a season-high 12 rebounds while aiding the Railsplitters to their first-ever victory in Gaffney, South Carolina. The 6-foot-6 guard and Chesterfield, Virginia (Lloyd C. Bird HS), native dished out a game-high tying five assists and made a steal against the Saints as he went 7-for-11 from the floor and was a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line.
