JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Fisk Lady Bulldogs fell in their first two matches since 2019 in the Milligan Mountain Madness Volleyball Tournament.
In the first match, the Lady Bulldogs took on the host Milligan University Lady Buffs who claimed a straight set victory 18-25, 21-25 and 21-25. Transfer Tiana Dalton (SR/Nashville, TN) had a good showing in her first action as a Lady Bulldog. The Nashville Overton grad led her team with 27 assists. Junior Ryann Reed (JR/Arlington, TX) led the team with eight points. Seniors Amazing Ashby (SR/Aurora, CO) and Jayla Johnson (SR/Pflugerville, TX) chipped in seven points apiece.
In the nightcap, the Lady Bulldogs came up short to Blue Mountain University 26-28, 19-25 and 20-25. The first set was a nailbiter with Fisk having set point three times before falling. Dalton led the team with 15 assists giving her 42 for the two games. Reed led the Lady Bulldogs in points with 9.5.
