CONWAY, Ark. – In a thrilling five-set match against former American Midwest Conference rival Central Baptist (8-7), the Lady Lions (8-2) were able to win (25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-9) to sweep the season series.
In the back and forth win, both Kacey Donegan and Claire Walker had strong showings with 18 and 15 kills, respectively. Both outings didn’t go without the help of their strong setters Emma Self and Allie Humphry, who posted 28 and 19 assists. Humphry was active on the defensive end as well with nine digs, just missing out on the double-double.
Reilly Fulton did what she does best, recording 24 digs on the defensive end, bringing her just one shy of second all time in Lady Lions history with 1,552.
The Lady Lions will play one last fall match on Saturday when they take on Williams Baptist at 2 p.m. They will then head into conference play on February 12.
